On 14th – 16th October, we participated in the MAT-PUR 2024 Scientific and Technical Conference. The Conference brought together representatives of the scientific and industrial communities. It is worth noting that, in its current form, the Conference has been held every two years since 2011 and Polychem Systems has attended since the very beginning!
The theme of the meeting concentrated around the development of polyurethane materials, the current problems associated with their manufacture and processing, as well as waste management issues. This year, however, there was a clear focus on topics related to the Closed Circuit Economy as our industry is increasingly focused on finding raw materials that fit in with the idea of Sustainable Development.
Our staff also attended as speakers, giving two presentations on the topics:
- Use of ISO standards in the implementation of the closed circuit economy;
- Sustainability reporting in accordance with the European CSRD regulation.
Every event like this helps us to keep up with the current challenges and trends in our industry, and we hope that our presentations also made an important contribution to other conference participants.
